About the Project: This poster redesign was done as part of an assignment in Digital Layout & Design at Kansas Wesleyan University. We were supposed to take a current poster and redesign it to get the same message across, but be more visually appealing to our targeted audience in the process. We were restricted from using photos online, but were given the option of using the magic wand tool or other tools available to get the desired shapes we wanted. After a lot of searching, I was able to get an image of a pirate, and use the magic wand tool in Adobe Photoshop CS3 to get his shape. I then inverted it and turned it completely black. I did all my layering in Photoshop with the text and colors and imagery. Then I brought it into Adobe InDesign CS3 for the page layout and sizing for the poster.
